Tech stocks: Facebook hovering around $40

Now that Facebook stock is above $40, how much higher can it climb? Let's review the tech stocks to watch Tuesday.

Facebook down early. Shares of the social network are down 1% in pre-market trading, a small bump in what has otherwise been an impressive month on the Nasdaq.

The stock sits at $40.90, but remains off its all-time high of $45, achieved during its first day of trading on Wall Street on May 18 of last year.

Facebook shares have surged 50% this year, fueled recently by second-quarter earnings that revealed a huge leap in profits and a 51% jump in monthly active mobile users.

On Monday, the social network announced shared photo albums, reports Mashable. The feature will allow up to 50 contributors to share photos to the same album.
